1. General Information

Sugarcoated Kreations is a home-based bakery operating under California’s Cottage Food Laws. All products are made in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of Health. We specialize in custom sugar cookies, cupcakes, and cakes.

2. Ordering Policy

  • All custom orders require full payment at the time of booking to secure your date.

  • Orders must be placed at least two weeks in advance.

  • A $20 rush fee applies to any order requested less than two weeks before the event.

  • We reserve the right to decline orders based on availability, complexity, or scheduling conflicts.

3. Payments

  • Accepted payment methods will be listed at checkout or discussed during ordering (e.g., Venmo, Zelle, PayPal).

  • Your order is not confirmed until payment has been received in full.

  • All prices are subject to change without notice but will be honored once your order is confirmed.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before pickup/delivery are eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before your event are non-refundable, as supplies and time are already allocated.

  • No refunds are given for custom design dissatisfaction once approved, as each product is handcrafted to order.

  • Sugarcoated Kreations reserves the right to end or cancel any order at any time prior to pickup or delivery if the client becomes unsatisfied or communication becomes unproductive. In such cases, a 50% refund will be issued, but the order will not be completed.

5. Pickup & Delivery

  • Pickup and delivery times are scheduled in advance. Please arrive promptly to maintain freshness and quality.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late to pickup, your items may no longer be guaranteed at optimal quality.

  • Delivery is available for an additional fee within the San Diego area. Delivery fees are based on distance.

  • Once an order leaves our possession, Sugarcoated Kreations is not responsible for any damage during transport or after pickup.

6. Allergies & Ingredients

  • All items are produced in a kitchen that handles wheat, eggs, dairy, and nuts.

  • While we do offer almond-free options, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

  • Customers are responsible for notifying us of any allergies when ordering.

7. Design & Creative Rights

  • All cookie, cupcake, and cake designs are handmade and may have slight variations from photos or samples.

  • Sugarcoated Kreations reserves the right to make minor design adjustments as needed for aesthetics or structure.

  • We reserve the right to use images of all created products for promotional purposes on our website and social media.

8. Order Satisfaction

We strive for complete customer satisfaction. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery with photos and details so we can address your concern.
